I don't know but I'm sure the Christians would have pulled the same stunt if they had thought of it first.

Because they are holier than Christians, cleaner, more polite, more pious, better in every way. . Just ask them. . Regarding the answer by killdrphil, perhaps he should give credit where credit is due: Christians never thought of this tactic. The holier-than-thou Christian is an anomaly, not the rule. .

It is only polite.
-
because they want to? beside what christian do you know thats not crazy who actually fasts for lent?
-
I had no idea that muslims did that.
-
Because THEY BELIEVE ONL THEIR RELIGION IS TRUE REST IS FALSE THIS IS WHY THEY NEVER CRITICIZE TERRORISTS PEOPLE CELEBRATED IN MUSLIM WORLD WHEN ATTACKS WERE MADE ON SEP11
-

-
Hey, it's worth a try...Why not ask, a person could only say no, right?
-
They "always" eh? I know a number of Muslim people and I have never encountered this problem. Guess they don't always.
-
Generalisation... I have plenty of Muslim friends, none of whom have ever asked me or our other non-Muslim friends to fast with them.
-
well not all Christians fast for Lent. you can choose what to give up for Lent. when i was Catholic i usually chose alcohol or fast food. it's just a gesture & a nice one at that, i think. it's a way of saying "while i may not agree with your religion, i still invite you to be a part of mine." we don't have to accept to follow their holiday, just as they don't have to for us, either.
-
I'm Christian and have known a number of muslim families and not one of them ever asked me to fast with them during Ramadan or any other time.
-
I have never been asked to fast for Ramadan

Really? Why did christians come to the new world and tell the Native Americans to convert or die? Don't throw stones when your house is made of glass bro.
