I need suggestions for a few CDs/artists for Jazz, and Jazz standards, I already have Theolonius Monk and Bossa-Nova.

You could go to Jazzstandards.com they list a wide array of standards. I suggest listening to Miles davis "Kind of blue" it's a classic album from his career. Also try listening to anything by Stan Getz he's a classic jazz artist that had a distinct sound of his own.:)
