Where does the term Doughboy come from?

    Actually, the term comes from the US soldiers that served in France in 1917-1918 during WW1, although the reasons are the same.

    Doughboy is the term that refers to the American soldiers when they entered WW II in 1945. When the others had already fought for five years, the Americans came with clean white faces. So they were called doughboys.
