  • I can try my best. Japan has a constitutional monarchy, with the Emperor being the head but really having little to no political power. He is mainly just a figurehead who represents the Japanese culture. Japan's head of state is the Prime Minister, in much the same way the United States has a President. The legislature of Japan is quite similar to the legislature of the US, with a bicameral body consisting of the House of Representatives who are elected by the people every four years and the House of Councillors who are elected every six years. The judicial system is much the same as most modern countries, with a Supreme Court and then three lower level court systems. Tried to keep it simple, hope that helps a little.
