  • NO WAY. Stop the fighting and the sticks will be used even more than they are today. DROP THE GLOVES and get it over with.
  • No. And if nothing more of a reason than is dang entertaining. I'll admit that it's hard to defend it. Many sports don't allow full on fighting but i do honestly believe that it provides some value to a team if a player engages in a fight. It boosts morale, can send a message. It's not just to preven "stick work", it's to settles the guys that running around trying to bury their shoulders and elbows into other players chins. Sure there's always concerns for safety of the players but i feel that as long as the players are willing and accepting of fighting in the game, i think it's fine. They're the ones that make a career out of this game and if they choose to include a duke here and there, that's fine with me.
  • I've only been to one hockey game in my entire life. Very exciting. As for the fighting. Only time I've seen what amounts to assault with a deadly weapon, condoned.
  • Hockey is less violent than it was a decade ago. Fighting has been part of the game and I can understand why the fights happen. I'd rather see a clean game than one marred with fights. But there are times when fights are OK with me.
