My thought is....was she the owner of the shop? Is there someone you could talk to and let it be known how this lady treated a customer? Was this lady a homeless person or was she just really low on money? It don't really matter if she was homeless or poor, she deserves to be treated with respect and that was uncalled for. I am sickened by this persons behavior and manners! Good thing I wasn't there. I am generally a quiet type but pick on someone when they are down, pisses me off! +5

HAHAHAHAHA! This is simple: First of all, a "poor lady" goes to a "beauty shop" to get her hair cut? I'm thinking not. Too expensive in the first place. But hey...it does happen! Which leads me to: Second...extra services provided (i.e. forced upon) to a customer when not asked for ain't gonna be paid for. If it were me and I didn't ask for the service and I was TOLD I was gonna get it anyway: Thank you very much for the gratuitous shampoo! And if I WITNESSED this? Heaven help the beautician. It's manager time...and I'll take it all the way up to a verbal altercation that may bring the police into it. And then we'll go from there. Now, if it weren't FORCED on her, then I've been known to make sure payment is made in similar circumstances elsewhere. Sometimes a few dollars selflessly spent on another is a godsend to them. And if circumstances warrant it, I'd do it anonymously to protect their dignity if necessary.

If I would have been within hearing, I would have commented to the hair-dresser and it would not have been pretty. Something similar happened to me. My husband asked me to run over to a very expensive men's store and pick up two new suits that were altered. I was in jeans and a t-shirt and I stood there for 30 min while 4 clerks walked past me quite a few times. After that 30 minutes, I decided to see just how long it would take for someone to ask if I needed help. I waited over one and 1/2 hours. I finally spoke up so the entire store heard me, and asked for help. My husband wrote to the store manager when I returned home and the following day I recieved a call from the manager asking, "what can they do to make it up to me"? I said, "nothing". When he said he'd come down and wait on me personally, I said "you'll be waiting a very long time because I will not be back. After spending over $1,000.00 on two new suits, don't ever judge someone by their looks again". I never did shop there again. Someone needs to teach that hair dresser a lesson she won't soon forget. How did she know that the visit wasn't a gift from a caring friend or relative?
