  • As a former soldier I felt very proud and privileged to have listened too him being interviewed over the years. He was from a generation of heroes who gave their all for their country and the freedom of all mankind. He was a very modest man, and said once that he never shot to kill. We have lost the only link to WWI and I feel very sad that he has left this life. I know that he has now gone to meet those mates who didn’t make it back home, or get to raise a family as he did. He will never be forgotten, and neither will all those of both sides who fought and died for their countries.
  • Bless them all for what they did for us.
