  • Yes, since many leading economists agree. I would never back an opinion without any facts behind it.
  • I don't believe the President said the economy was stablized. It is recovering slowly.
  • I don't believe much of anything coming from any politician. My grandpa said it best. Don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you see.
  • No the economy will take years to stablize with all the unemployment and all the stores which have gone out of business and here in California all the Furlough days being forced upon employee to prevent further lay offs...however the stock markets are beginning to stablize.
  • When a politician says something I tend to think the exact opposite. Do you know how you can tell when a politician lies? His lips move.
  • msnbc.com and NBC News updated 12:28 p.m. PT, Wed., Aug. 5, 2009 WAKARUSA, Ind.— President Barack Obama said Wednesday that the economy had stabilized and was beginning a slow recovery, telling NBC News in an exclusive interview that it was now his job to “make sure that ordinary people have some relief.” Speaking with Chuck Todd, NBC’s chief White House correspondent and political director, Obama answered questions about the economy, health care and unemployment benefits that were submitted this week by readers of msnbc.com.

  • I don't beleive that is has stabilized, but I beleive that it is getting better. Isn't that what we should all hope for?
  • I believe it not because president saying so but when looking at economic data and bank balance sheets and performance of companies.
  • I don't believe anything coming from any government body. Actually only think the stock market is preforming well due to a temporary bit of overconfidence from investors. Our government is carrying insane amounts of debt and I doubt they will slow down on building more. Hyperinflation isn't going to help the economy, and that is a real risk here.
  • This from a person who said "The health care bill is not a tax" and yet Factcheck.org has shown it otherwise and so has the IRS. So do I need to say how I believe :)
  • Im convinced the President is incompetant and doest know anything about the economy other than what he experienced as a small time senator from illinois in which he probably had people for that
  • If it's improving, I don't see it. The national unemployment rate ROSE to 9.6% at the end of September 2009, and there are expected to be over 7 million more homes foreclosed on in the next year, alone. We're fighting TWO wars, with a 3,000% increase in troops headed to Afganistan by this time next year. Me thinks I smell a fox in the henhouse. +5
