Most people are good natured, caring individuals who would never think of cheating.
Of course, those people tend to stay away from golf courses.

People cheat! They want to feel good about their golf game and (they think) their score is a direct reflection on how good they are. "oh it was only a 3 footer I can't miss that.". Some people think that if someone says "that putt is good" they don't need to count the next one.
What about the mulligan? How many people take a mulli?
GOLF IS A GAME OF MISTAKES and LOTS OF THEM. Recovering from them is what I think makes this game great!
