They can mess up your eyesight, since if there's even the slightest hint of a curvature, it can create discrepancies in the monacled eye. That being said, I've been known to wear one when I'm all gussied up, I like them. Here's a hint: they stay on when the wearer SMILES!
BTW your link might be dead.
We have contact lenses and blended lenses. State-of-the-art improvements occur in all areas, eyeglasses included! :) Wearing a monocle scrunched up your face and made more wrinkles and wasn't really comfy at all...who wants all that as a result of trying to see better when there are more attractive/comfortable alternatives? :)
They remind me of men in the third reich...
The Monopoly guy made them look cheesy
Because they came up with better inventions; eyeglasses and contacts.
Bizzare...I bet they had strong cheek muscles..
We like to see out of both eyes. ^_^
They should. I will try and bring the trend back!!
Because its the monopoly mans' signature now. :P
Beats me, I think they look kind of cool, at least if you want to look like a British Lord or something...
But didn't one of the high-profile Nazis wear one? Maybe he made them unpopular. I mean, how many people do you see with Hitler mustaches these days?
Some folks still do, on occasion, if they have the kind of looks and personality for one.
They aren't as popular as they once were, because of the amount of muscular control needed, to hold one in place.

only the wealthy still do. but you dont see them cuz they're living underground scared of obama
