  • Absolutely not!!! Using homemade wines could prove to be disastrous! In making anything pickled, you need a certain amount of acidity. You have no way of knowing the acidity level of your homemade wines. This could lead to bacteria growth which can be deadly! If you read recipes for any kind of pickles, they always mention using a good vinegar of at least 5% acidity. I cannot emphasize enough that doing what you propose IS NOT A GOOD IDEA!!!
