Cream. Because they broke a lot of new ground and laid the foundation of much of what rock and roll has become today. Listen to 'White Room'. Maybe you will appreciate what I mean.

I can't give an answer that ISN'T based on my opinion. I may think a certain band is very talented while others disagree. When you ask a group of people what "the greatest" something is, you're going to get answers that are opinions. There's no right or wrong answer.

I think either AC/DC (because of the fact that they have been in the music business for decades. They have brought upon new ways of music, and grondbreaking talents.) or The Beatles (because they have so many number one selling albums, as well as there all almost dead. But they really have made an impact on generations of people. They have shown us so many different sides to music and they had amazing talents)

beatles , cream, rolling stones , led zeppelin , deep purple ... all of these bands are legends ..leaders not followers and will always be remembered

Muse, Matt Bellamy he can play 2 instruments at once and it sounds good.

I wont say their the greatest band but I would give props to Dragonforce. The way they play can skin the fur right off a cat.
