  • Your first love will always be just that: your first love. You may never forget her, but you will get over her. There's a saying: "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush." That means that the girl you see and speak to today is of far more value to you than the one you haven't seen in a year and with whom you have never spoken.
  • Try actually speaking to the second one. That might help you.
  • See what happens with this new girl. It's OK to never forget the first but she was the FIRST, not the ONLY. You will find that over the years that your heart develops little homes for each person you grew to love. As you get to know this new girl (or the next girl if this doesn't work out), you will find a warm place for the first girl in your heart but a place that doesn't hurt anymore, and that's better. Each new love helps you home the first love in a comfortable place in your heart.
  • Your definition of "love" is interesting. You say you love someone you haven't ever spoken to. So, what is her favorite color? Food? Book? Music? Does she get good grades or is she flunking? What is her favorite subject? Teacher? Author? Poet? :)
