  • ROTFLMAO!!! Nice bit of doublespeak. In slavery we have freedom! All he has to do is start questioning the General Authorities in even the smallest iota, and we'll see how quickly he changes his tone!
  • Hasn't been to the temple yet.
  • Free will as long as exercise your free will to 'choose' to follow the organizations teachings to an almost perfect level. I read that someone mentioned the temple - they dont tell you what you have to agree to or covenant to do before you are faced with making those promises. And at baptism you do not know by far all that is 'required' of you. And yes it's REQUIRED - that's what's what the scripture says! If you do make a mistake that they consider serious you may no longer accepted as a member and subject to sanctions which you do not choose. Plus whatever the prophet says you have to obey - unless they say it's no longer relevant or no longer a commandment.
  • Not really. I cannot say that considering how I was constantly being scrutinized ( I was also a full-time employee of Deseret Industries) Members felt I was accountable to them and not just the church. I was also 2nd counselor to the Bishop. I got incessant calls day and night about the nost personal nature. Finally I turned one person in to the police. I agree that clergy and confessor shou;d be confidential, but when a crime is being comitted against a child, and the criminal is being protected above the child, I had no choice. So I am saying they were no better tahn any other church, no more accountable, honest or open to the srutiny concerning legal and moral matters. And counselors ar mandated reporters, to not report is against the law.
