  • Maybe you have a toe fungus. One time, my toe nail fell off because I slammed the toe into a wall and it was bad. It grew back. I really don't know anything about toes. This is most likely not a helpful answer.
  • As suggested, it could be a nail fungus or an injury. If there is any pitting on the surface of the nail, it could also be psoriasis. You should have it checked out.
  • Check for fungus (signs are a bad smell, thickening of the nails, yellowing, crud under the nails, scaling skin between the toes).Check that your shoes are fitting properly. Make sure that you trim your toenails as they can affect the fit of your shoes and overall comfort.
  • Are your shoes too tight, they might be cutting off blood circulation. If it's not fungus that is...
  • It might be that your shoes are not fitting properly and that those 2 nails are bearing the brunt of the injury. Because of the injury those nails are beginning to fall off. Allow them to fall off naturally as new nails will grow in behind them. If the nails grow back and are discolored you may have a fungus which require workup from a podiatrist.
