What human is honest one hundred percent of the time? I think it is the presidents job to make the people at ease in what's going on, I don't think we as a people can handle the truth. We would be in a state of panic all the time if we knew everything, so he is simply securing our minds. I agree with you we should know everything but it's not going to happen.

Presidents can't be honest because we won't let them...I'm guessing that as they've progressed through their political careers they've learned that manipulating/omitting the facts is the only way to keep enough people happy to get them elected:)
