yeah. when i was 8 i got a huge gash from playing in a trashcan and needed stitches. 6 years later its still ugly. its funny to creep ppl out tho. i just rub my scar on someones finger tips and they get all freaked out

my c-section scar was hard like that but it started to become soft after about a year or so for me, now it is normal and much less noticable visually

You're reading Is it normal for skin tissue to harden after stitches heal? My husband had surgery near his stomach, and had a 5" incision from 5 weeks ago that has healed nicely but the skin under the length of it is hard now. Is that normal?
