Yes,and additional money should be added.This is a good way to get gas guzzlers off the road and to clean up the environment.This program walks the walk and not just wags the tongue of politicians with nothing done.

You know gov programs are not supposed to work. Just blow money but not actually solve a problem. Yes they should extend it.

I have mixed feelings for the CARS program. On one hand I like the idea, however I'm concerned about what the program will do to those who can't afford to buy new cars. One potential consequence of the program will that it could dry up the supply of good used cars like happened about two years ago when scrap metal was selling for .10 a pound. Dealers were able to get more for cars by scraping them than they could by wholesaling them. It became very hard to find decent used cars and the price of used cars became inflated. Could happen again and it would put a strain on those with lower income.
