I think you mean Mandarin, Cantonese, Xiang, Min, or Hakka. These are the languages spoken in China. And yes they are all pretty difficult.

Writing is the KEY for memorization. (I had a good teacher) All the stokes are used again and again and there is no grammar. Master all the stokes helps a lot,I know it is stupid at first! But you will thank me later. It is probably easier for me maybe because I'm Asian ^^ My answer is: "YES IT IS THE HARDEST THING TO LEARN, IT TO ME 2 YEAR TO READ THE NEWS PAPER POORLY" I screamed.
