Yes, I know how dangerous it can be. I stopped because I was texting and almost rear ended someone and another time I almost hit a median. So yes, I support it lol.

There are way too many causes - much more important than this one - for me to pour my effort into it. Having said that, for as much as I hate government interference, sometimes, they have to step in and protect the idiots from themselves

Yes but I wish it didn't have to come to that. It's too bad we have to legislate something that should be a common sense issue. Texting, applying make-up, jerking off, eating, watching movies, reading, drinking, watching videos...any of these activities while driving distracts the driver and endangers others using the roadway.

Yes. I've almost been hit by idiots more than once who were texting while they were driving. Also, if you take a look at the statistics of the number of accidents and deaths that were caused by it, you'd probably be in favor for it too.

I can't pick my nose and drive at the same time, I don't see how people can text and drive. Already, there have been mass killings on the roads because of texting and the perp just walks with no charges. The law should allow all civilians to shoot texters to save the rest of us. Preventive maintenance.

Yes. There has been too many accidents due to texting and driving. When I almost get hit on the road too often has it been someone either on their cells or texting...I have had to surve out of my lane to avoid being hit.

I think it's a great idea, but I don't know how they will enforce such a thing. It's illegal to use a handheld phone in NY state and everyone still does that.

texting while driving is worse that talking on the phone and driving. texting does take your attention off the road, because you have to see the letters that youre punching, and when you look away youre not watching the road. people go off the road just messing with their radio, how is texting not worse. If you think it shouldnt be illegal, start thinking logically. Really, we all know texting is not good while driving so get over it.

Yes, what the hell is wrong with people, I mean talking on a cell phone is dangerous enough while driving, but to be looking at a phone and text messaging?? Common sense should tell people not to do it, sad that there needs to be a law made to prevent it.

Since I don't do it, I really do not care about this one. But it would make more sense to stop making laws with the intent of modifying behaviour, and start making justice appropriateley severe if you recklessly harm another person. I say text away, but if you run into somebody while texting it is all over for you.

all this bullshit about proposing ...just bloody ban it and be done with it!...fine the fools who do it and take points off their driving licence, there is tons of evidence to show texting while driving kills. Will this be another case of the U.S. playing with its dick like it did with seat belt laws for 30 or more years after most of the other countries in the world made it law you have to wear them while driving.. because some f*cking idiots scream its their rights not to wear seat belts/texting while driving
