  • Nothing realli spectacular where I am from in Pennsylvania, your usual crown victorias, and impalas, some explorers etc. Ive even seen a few police motorcycles near Scranton , Pa I know near hershey pa I have seen Mustang police cars. Thats pretty neat and hot.. Ive recently just seen the new charger done up in the motor trends mag, now thats a definitely hot police car.
  • here is what im talking about..today i saw a highway patrol vehicle similair to this porsche..i dont know if they intend to use these cars, too exotic if you ask me
  • NY does not really have that, just reagurl cars with mucle uped engines
  • YES, they have dodge chargers, dodge magnum as a DARE vehicle... don't get me started on DARE. They also have a motorcycle for rewarding officers, I know all the cops in my town and they all want to ride the bike.
  • I think in some cities in California Police forces are beginning to use certain types of hybrid technology, but I could be wrong. I am pretty sure I saw on the news recently that in Orange County some of the cars have hybrid technology now.
  • Metro Nashville uses Chev. Impalas. No luxury here, except for a tape player. Hybrid police cars will not work. the motors and batteries could not produce enough energy to last a 24 hour shift. Police cars are a special breed all their own. They might work, if they were in a small town, like Mayberry, where the police cars are just for show and not actual policing. I'll just keep my Impala with a v-6 super-charged engine.
  • hell yes. its sickening and they have big motorbikes too!!!
  • There are a few Camaros and Mustangs in use here as State Police vehicles, but these are not used at the city/town level.
  • They just use Chevy Impalas here.
  • I believe i did see an article where a similar vehicle was used by the Nevada Highway Patrol. Chances are, it was a seized vehicle in a drug bust and the court ordered the vehicle to be used by the Highway Patrol. This is the VERY exception to the rule. Most departments use Impalas or Crown Victorias.
