Yeah, but thats not part of having a mentally healthy life. I often have nightmares where I'm running to find help, and everyone I find is out to kill me. In real life, if I'm having a melt-down (am currently being treated for my problems and its going very well; proud to say that I'm better than I was last summer!), no matter what anyone says, I'll feel like their arguing with me (or that their getting to close) and my tone gets louder and louder (more high-pitched when tears come of course) until I can't take it anymore. Then I run to where I feel safest (be it in the car or in my room or deep into the woods off the path (we live in the middle of no where in the woods on a mountain)) and lock myself in to do what I can to calm down- though this often takes more than just a day. But like those who said before me, its often a sign of mental "defects" (i.e. paranoid, depression, or just crazy). However, it can often be considered a hormonal imbalance as well :P
