I am going to Confession on a retreat this weekend, since I don't know if I should confess face-to-face or behind the screen, and I usually confess face-to-face. What should I do? I don't want to confess behind the screen either.

actually this is very common. when you get in, if the priest is behind the screen just say "i would be more comfortalbe with face to face"
