  • Yes, maintaining the MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) equillibrium is important so that no one nuclear power has an advantage over another. Each must be certain that any attack would result in their own destruction to prevent any attempts.
  • I think that is a decision for the UK and people should respect that decision. The UK has proven themselves responsible with the possession of nuclear arms. However, as a Brit I don't think we need them - and I believe the money would be better spent elsewhere.
  • They are an independent and sovereign country and can do as they please. They are a stable government, with stable leadership and a stable economy I see no reason why they should not improve their sub force.
  • I believe no one is justified in having nuclear weapons. The nuclear technology must be used for peaceful purposes, not for killing people.
  • Of course the Brits still have to defend themselves. We can't do it for everyone! Besides they are an ally so I belive that the UK having a top flight military force is beneficial to my country as well.
  • Yes. It is Nuclear missles that give us credibility to stand up in the world. Also, its an insurance policy not to fight wars with any other Nuclear missile nation.
