  • the three shows (croc hunter and survival shows) say you dont outrun them you out manuever them because they have a difficulty with their joints to manuever sideways while moving forward. remembering back to the show they seemed to run about 4-5 strides one way then the other way. second an alligator or crocodile seem to be quick attackers and not long distance. each time I have seen them attack they seem to give up quickly (via distance) so it seems that once you get 20 ft away from the bad part (mouth) you should be alright.

  • You have a much better chance to by running zig zag than by running straight. :-)

  • Zigging and zagging is good. Though it does not mean you WILL escape.
  • I think so, because it will follow you in the exact same fashion that you're going in, and get tuckered out and slowed down. I don't see why you can't just run in a straight line though, I don't imagine an alligator can run that fast...then again that's why I live here, and not in the jungle. I'm also also curious to know if the same thing happens with crocodiles.
