Yes. I expect my politicians to be perfect.
-
Did they fail to pay a parking ticket, or did they actually commit a crime of moral turpitude? It all depends on what they were in for.
-
It depends, as long as they were honest about it and they had done their time I don't see why not. People make mistakes, hopefully they learn from them and become a better person for it.
-
Depends. Some crimes are a + and some are a - and it's all context too. Arrested for embezzlement? A downer. Arrested for drug posession? An upper. Arrested for assault? Don't care.
-
Nope. Actually, my favourite politician has been incarcerated.
-
I don't care about your past mistakes as much as I care about where you are going now. A politician deserves the same respect I give anyone else.
-
It depends if it was for Murder or something really bad, However, I think it would be a constructive thing cause that guy would proberbly have more life experience and a better understanding of how the world really works as opposed to some guy thats had priviledged upbringing.
-
Depends on the severity of the crime.
-
Depends on what they did. They may have come out a better person because of it, you never know!
-
Of course not. I figure they're going to rob me anyway; at least this way it's not speculation when I call them a crook.
-
Ghandi was in jail many times and it made his greatness worldwide.
-
Naw, those things don't bother me. I also wouldn't care if a president had been a drunk, a drug addict and an idiot, I mean, it's not as if George Bush did much damage with that
-
WHY !!they were in jail is the only reason i would care....we all make mistakes especially in our younger years.....and we all can change or learn from them....but a history or lifestyle of mistakes (road taken) is certainly a reason to care, because it gives vital proof whether a person has tried to change or ever learned from mistakes, some just get more clever and sneakier......:)
-
Depends upon the context. Political jihad to get him/her to shut up? I'd still like them.
-
You mean like Tom Hayden? Yeah. Civil disobedience is one thing. But conspiracy and inciting to riot is quite another.
-
it depends on what they were jailed for and if it's apparent they bettered themselves since.
