  • it's called confiscation. they have the power to do that if you give them consent to search your house. if you have suspicious items on your person or in your home & they have a warrant or you let them search you/your home, they can take it. those things you listed are used in making meth.
  • Muradic acid or hydrochloric acid like the other items can be used to make bombs.
  • They were given consent to search and it sounds like they found some major components to create a meth lab. They can seize stuff like that.
  • I wasn't aware that law enforcement needed permission to enter anyone's home, but would expect they'd have a search warrant just for safety's sake. If your friend is suspected of doing anything illegal and consented to a search, whether or not there was a search warrant, then why would he complain, and why would you be asking unless ....... ??!! The items the police removed sound vaguely familiar ..... like components for explosive devices. There must be more to this story than is being told?
