My thoughts? People need to get their ears checked. Lets say, for a moment, that satan is real. If he was wanting to destroy the world and such, you think he would have a better way to do it that to put backwards messages in people's speeches. Seriously. That would do nothing. If this is genuine, and satan is real, he's rather silly.

Backwards implies something opposite - the opposite of forward is backwards for example, so if the opposite of "yes we can" is "Serve Satan", then the saying "Yes we can" must mean NOT to "Serve Satan", which would correspond to "Serving God" by default. So when we say "yes we can", what we are really saying is to "Serve God", and when you say it backwards we are saying "Serve Satan". Well! How clever! It's one of those phrases with a hidden meaning, saying - "Yes we can" means both what it says on the surface and beneath that is a statement of divine duty "to serve God". I never thought of the president as being so pious, but I guess I was wrong - my admiriation of the man is constantly increasing day by day. Thanks for pointing this out to me friend!

No, it doesn't. "nac ew sey" would sound something like "thank you, Sa[tan]" if you were some sort of moron. "let me express" is the phrase that some idiots think sounds like "serve Satan". Backmasking is the refuge of the slack-jawed followers who parrot religious tripe without even thinking. But you couldn't even get that right.

Actually, it's Dick Cheney's slogan, "Natas evres", that says "Serve Satan" when played backwards. ;) If you say "yes we can" backward, "nac ew sey" sounds like "Knock Hussein". :p
