Ask me again in a couple of years and the answer may be different as Peter Jackson is currently in the midst of remaking "The Dambusters" (1955). I'm sorely tempted to say "A Bridge Too Far" (1977) as I just watched the Blu-Ray last night, but that isn't it. The original "Dambusters" is right up there, as is "The Battle of the Bulge" (1965) and "The Battle of Britain" (1969). Then we can switch locales with "Midway" (1976), "Run Silent Run Deep" (1958), "Tora! Tora! Tora!" (1970) and "The Bridge on the River Kwai" (1957). But why limit it to WWII? Other wars made good stories too. So how about "The Bridges of Toko Ri" (1954), "The Blue Max" (1966), "The Boys in Company C" (1978) or "Full Metal Jacket" (1987)? Does it have to be a real war? Would "300" (2006) and "The Empire Strikes Back" (1980) qualify? What about comedies? Then you could include "M*A*S*H" (1970) and "The Secret War of Harry Frigg" (1968). What about movies that are deeply concerned with a war but exist outside of actual combat? I cite "The Great Escape" (1963) and "Hell In the Pacific" (1968) as examples of this. Do biographies count if the person involved has a major part in a war, like "Reach For the Sky" (1956)? As you might tell from my answer... I just have too many favourites... but to narrow it down to one movie... I'd have to go with "The Longest Day" (1962). Hope this helps.
