I already have a Bachelor's Degree (in English) but I'd like to go back to school for Graphic Design. Do I need to obtain another BA in Graphic Design or can I get away with getting an Associate's Degree? I intend to largely work for myself from home.

You really need to research the field you want to enter. What credentials will you need? Will you need a license of some sort? Will you contract with a company that has insurabilty issues that require its contracted / outsourced suppliers to be licenced? Perhaps you just need some extra skills that will enable you to produce marketable products. Either way, I doubt the additional degree will be as important as certification or licensure. Perhaps you could contact a company in your target industry and ask them about people who provide the service you intend to perform.
