Absolutely. It still pisses me off that they don't have a card catalogue at the library anymore... especially when the PAC terminals are glitching out.

Yes. Making your own makes it easier to keep track of your stuff and easier to submit for insurance.

I still use one. Many of our older research records are still organized this way. So few people want to use them or are authorized to use them that there is no point of scanning or computer indexing them. +5
