I don't think it's possible to avoid them entirely. Probably the best we can do is control our own personal environment. I use a water filter and air purifier. These are small steps but at least I feel I am in a fairly clean environment at home.

I suppose there are wise choices to be made. Even if these toxins are everywhere, they are not everywhere in equal abundance or concentration. So we can protect ourselves in a relative but not absolute sense. Would you rather have a little poison, or alot? Choices of where to live, what to drive, what to buy to eat, etc, can have an impact on your health.
