I think you need to define what you mean by an "authentic" Kentucky resataurant. But, with your permission, here are some ideas... I have been there many times, and can suggest the following places, both of which specialize in REGIONAL dishes, traditionally identified with bluegrass cuisine: Corbett's 5050 Norton Healthcare Boulevard, Louisville, KY 40241, 502-327-5058, Corbett's features an inventive menu in the historic Von Allmen mansion. They have an impressive wine list, artisanal cheese selections, and an interactive digital chef's table. Featuring American cuisine, the menu showcases the abundance of local purveyors as well as the best ingredients from around the world. Equus 122 Sears Avenue, Louisville, KY 40207, 502-897-9721 , Equus is a fine dining restaurant serving American regional cuisine. You can also enjoy Jack's Lounge. The award-winning Wine Spectator list with 300 bottles of wine includes selections inspired by the cuisine. Equus accepts reservations Monday through Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m. Jack's, which is open from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m., They do not accept reservations. I hope these two are helpful to you. Also, I suggest you contact the food/dining editor of the Louisville Courier-Journal newspaper. http://www.courier-journal.com/louisville-food There is also a chatroom where food is discussed: http://www.courier-journal.com/apps/pbcs.dll/section?category=PluckForum&plckForumPage=Forum&plckForumId=Cat%3aa5a58d9d-1e2f-451c-95a1-538b055c6c78Forum%3a59e9e120-a0c7-43b6-a1a4-23c049999ac1 Hope the above information is helpful to you. +5
