If incest weren't illegal or "immoral," do you think it would become commonplace? Or are normal people repelled by the idea independent of the threat of repercussions?

Most people are repelled at the idea of having sex with their offspring (children) or relations (siblings or parents). However, people enter into this type of relationship because of rejection and unhandled emotional conflicts in their lives, seeking to feel better about themselves through sex, which makes them sexual addicts. So, the answer is no, it woudn't become common place, but it would probably be more understood and treatable.

Another article said 40 million. Kinsey Report that 75% of loving, very close mother /son incest and loving, very close brother/sister incest had positive loving results. 25% of father /daughter loving incest was very positive, it was much lower only because the younger daughters took on the society’s man made shame and guilt trip. God use incest to populate the earth at creation and after Noah and any time a man and women went far away by themselves there would be lots of incest similar to in the Bible with Lot and his daughters having sex. But because of major man made hang up, to avoid some major hang up conflicts, rules were make up.

Incest is illegal but only man made it immoral. Thankgoodness this immoral concept is changing. Incest has gone on since the beginning of mankind. We all are the products of incest! Some very far back some recent but we are all of incestual parentage. Just as gays had the courage to come out and fight unjust laws those involved in incest should do the same.
