How can I view older posts on a facebook wall by date and is there a time limit to older posts that I can view?

You can view the posts to the back from the moment you have created your facebook (the same about other accounts), just click "Older posts" till you find what you want. So there isn't time limit. :) And there isn't specific search for the date, you must find the posts on your own.
