Once I found a Ten pound note in the street,what have you ever found in the street and did you hand in to the authorities?

I only ever found a tenner too, and that was at work. I handed it in, and got given it back one year to the day later because no one had claimed it (work policy). I've run after a fair few people to give them their phone/car keps/credit cards too. I once went to sit down and eat my lunch on a bench in the square with a ten pound note in my pocket. As I was eating my sandwich, I saw what looked like a piece of paper blowing across the bench about 2 feet from me, then this guy grabbed it and walked off. I checked my pocket and the tenner was gone. I was really upset because it was obvious it was mine, it was on the bench and I was the only person there - and he'd been standing a couple fo yards behind me. I would never have done that. I found a mobile phone on the bus once and handed that in too.

I found a fifty pound note once, it was rolled up into a tube ( for snorting ), someone was obviously showing off but got so off their head that they dropped it:)
