Wow, this is a question for me! Bluetooth technology is wireless communication. You can use a bluetooth headset to answer and place calls, without any wires or cords! Also there is bluetooth technology for your vehicle and laptops too, you can wirelessly transfer data such as calenders and contacts from one device to another, or in the vehicle, it is used as a hands free system where the incoming calls comes over a speaker. Many phones now a days have bluetooth compatible, but you will need to purchase a bluetooth device, my personal favorite is the Motorola HS850. Also, just to let you know, ANY Bluetooth device will work with ANY bluetooth compatible phone, it doesn't have to be the same brand. :)

It is wireless. You pair a phone to a headset device and you can answer and place calls just by the touch of a button, all done wirelessly.

Your not dumb, your ignorant. Bluetooth is the name of a form of technology, not of the phone or the earpiece one uses. It allows two pieces of hardware(your cell phone and the earpiece) to connect wirelessly and be used simultaneously. You leave your phone in your pocket and can use the ear piece to talk to people in stead of holding a phone to your head. It allows you to have your hands free to do other things. I'm still trying to figure out how to sync mine :P (get them to recognize the other piece of hardware.)
