  • Let's see, one is spewing poisonous gasses into the air we all must breathe, and the other has their eyebrows angled. And you wonder which one is being rude? Hmm.
  • Yes, it is rude. And very judgemental and immature. It was a young person, right? Given a few years to experience some life, they will stop doing crap like that.
  • I usually just blow smoke at them. : )
  • Honestly, I think it's rude to smoke in public and to force other people to breathe your smoke. My husband is allergic to cigarette smoke - it sends him into coughing fits - so I feel resentful when people smoke in public places and affect -his- health without his consent.
  • Yes. since my wife and i smoke cigarettes, this is something we have become accustomed to. We just smile and offer them one. They usually scurry away.......no problems.
  • Yes, I do. I no longer smoke; but I remember the snide look of uppity disapproval. They should learn to mind their own business by looking at themselves to see how perfect they really are.
  • Seriously, it may in fact be that some of your ash just got on their clothes as they passed and that's why they are glaring at you. Happens all the time now smokers are on the streets more. Blame the breeze if you will but understand that this may very well be what's behind the looks. Flick your ash into a plastic bottle or some such thing when your standing around smoking and see if you get less looks.
  • Even if it's not "near" anyone (though it was apparently near enough to someone to recognize and evil look) the smoke still goes everywhere and gets in the air and gets in my lungs. I don't give smokers "evil looks" but I do hope that someday people just stop smoking. It really does affect everyone, no matter where you're smoking.
  • It's funny... The new thing is, they hold their noses when they walk by and make comments they feel might effect your choices concerning their discomfort. Yeah right... Like that's ever going to happen. I blow it at their backs when they walk past and turn their backs just for doing it. Im a decent respectable smoker... I always cup my smoke and walk to the farthest place I can away from people. Morons always seem to want to make their voices heard though and seek you out, in order to show you how wrong they think you are for not being more like them. My mother died of MASSIVE cancer... All over her body. Brain cancer killed her finally after months of suffering. She never smoked, didn't drink and was a prevention health magazine freak.
  • I know cigarettes are harmful and I am a smoker... and yes I get thoughs same looks...judgemental self rightious people right? Its not like you blew it in their face..... Dont you realize your a bad person...out to harm others with you addiction and habit... You obviously deliberately smoke to do harm! *rolls eyes* Untill they make cigarette smoking "illegal" then non smokers should just be happy that more and more laws are in place to protect them and leave us a lone. I am sure the evil eye doer was not perfect themselves....
  • It tends to be car drivers who pump tons of crap into the air or speed while driving or drink drive etc etc
  • its rude and yet it isnt, its rude cause free will and freedom of smoking, but it isnt cause smoking bad. But uh hey... stop starring at the smoking person dont you see they're trying to smoke here? lol
  • It is rude. I get those kind of people all the time and I feel like looking at them and asking if they want to take a picture instead of staring. Just because they don't smoke doesn't give them the right to pass judgment on us.
  • The stuff makes it to where I can't breathe around it (literally)... My eyes water, my nose and throat hurt... My face hurts (under the eyes and over them which is part of the sinus system)... Not to mention I have asthma and a punctured lung... But I say people should do what makes them happy... Hope this helps... :D
