Because the capitalist Bastards in america, have alienated the worker, and the population in general. the inequity in the country has finally become unbearable to those who actually care about other people. The abuses of capitalism and the ridiculous salaries of the CEO's while destroying the little guy, have become to much. Socialism is here and its here to stay. Im just glad the capitalists cant do anything now that the democrats have a majority in both houses. HA HA HA HA!

I'm still not sure that USA has become a socialist country, or that it will become, but social categories must be represented in USA. The reason is that every advanced country must have social categories represented within people, otherwise people will get revolted by the actions of capitalistic leadership of the country.

For those ABers answering in support of socialism, be careful what you wish for! America is still far from socialism and you'd best be grateful for that. You need to look carefully at the mess socialism has made of certain European economies to comment on the 'merits' of socialism and trust me when I say that it doesn't work out too well without immense borrowing (from foreign banks etc., resulting in extraordinary national debt), and without more people being paid a minimal amount and / or resorting to black economy (ie: under the counter), jobs than is the case in the most red-blooded of capitalist economies. Seriously, look into it before you decide you support the socialist route.
