Could you contact the manufacturer ... they are often pretty receptive ... like to keep customers happy.

did you try hooking it up to the computer? if anything, open it up since the company went out of business, there is no warranty any longer. see if any connections could of came loose that could of snap linked onto the display and boards. if its just a loose connection, then just reconnect it. it should be easy to do if everything just snaps into place. if a soldered part came off, then i would have someone who has some experience working with small mounting devices look at it. (im a SIP/DIP (single inline package/dual inline package)person myself, hate working with micro electronics...) if need ever be and you cant get it working, well... do some damage to it, give it to someone who knows how to work on them or tear it apart and yank out the light bar and use the light bar to illuminate things.

more people could help if you reported the manufacturer name and the model number .. they can do searches for you online with that info, or if theres none online, someone might have the same frame as you and tell you what they did.

In your OP you say the store went out of business but above you say the company went out of business, which one is it? If it is the store, then contact customer support at the company that manufactured it, if the product is under 12 months old, you should get if repaired for free.
