Yes, you can buy a home in east Tennessee, for less than $100,000, either in town or in the country. The home in town would be very basic, but you might even find a charming little cabin up in the mountains, too, for that.
Doubt you'd wanna live in it if you could....If you wanna live in a safe neighborhood, and in a safe house.....You're looking at at least 500K.
No. Homes around here start from around $800,000 up to the mid-range millions.
Nope - you can't even buy a lot for that
Not a chance around here.
Yes, you can sometimes buy a decent home for $80K around here.
Yes, but they are all mobile homes on leased land.
Not if you want to move into it today.
Those are Fixer Uppers.
Nope...starts around $500,000
Not in the island I live in,there's a couple of bungalows for 150k,though.
next to mine they are between 1,5 to 8 millions
Not a home on land and able to be lived in, however a relocatable home in need of renovating and not on land can be bought for such a price.
You can buy a great house for that kind of money here in India!
Nothing much under $600,000 in the innerwest of Sydney Aus.
An hour from Melbourne, Yarra Valley - nothing for 100k here ...
From the Boston Globe:
...
"An unidentified buyer yesterday paid $300,000 for a private parking space in the Back Bay, making it the most expensive parking space in Boston, according to Listing Information Network, which tracks the city's real estate market."

Nowadays, you can buy a mansion for less.
Not unless you want a trailer. You might get an acre of land for under $100k, if you don't mind swampfront property.
Sure can...I bought my place for under $50,000. It is an older 3 bedroom home but in very good shape and sitting on 3 acres of land.
A trailer park home and I believe there might be some very small condominiums or houses that require a lot of repairs.
not a chance. 15 years ago you could get fixer-upper for that, if you looked really hard. Our property taxes are nearly $10,000 a year, and yet this is just a blue-collar town, go figure.
Yes, our house cost $90,000 (forclosure) a year ago.
There are 2 on my street and 4 on the street behind me all listed (forclosure) at 90 and below.
These house are all 6 years old or younger.
You must be kidding me! Grin..
Two months ago I brought my place for £650,000 and it was the cheapest place I could find in this area.
no and were in a recession with a much better exchange rate then it's been for years.
Yes, we bought the one I am living in now for 80,000. It's older and small, only 2 bedrooms, but it's okay for a first house.
Sure! This is a small town in Utah. Housing is mostly good and inexpensive.
The average very low quality home would start about $180,000. (Qld Australia)
In Chicago everything is possible.
Let me tell you that as far as my local area is concerned no not at all. As I live in Newport Beach which is considered to be the most desired places to live so the average cost of good home - $4,999,999

Yes.
you bet your bottom dollar!
yes, any day of the week.
In Bogotá many houses can be bought from between 30 thousand and 90 thousand dollars ( between 60 and 180 million pesos).
Sure, a trailor/modular. Your garanteed to find a place less that $100,000 in the ghetto as well.
no way...the average price of a house in Vancouver is around 1 million $
Not a chance.... not even a tiny box studio apartment.
Possibly but it would be in a lesser desired area and probably not be in good shape.
Yes, but it will just be a pretty basic home.
Australian dollars? No. Not even a unit or flat.
It would probably be due to (I'm guessing) 70% the area. And 30% to general housing prices in the state.
Ps Oh and congratulations on your Genius status :)
Nope, cheapest house where I live is around £300,000
You can definitely buy a home under $100K in Northwest Indiana.
Heck yeah - but why would I want to?
Not impossible
That figure is closer to the yearly property tax, keithold.
;-)
there are a lot of them in India
Yes, if you want to call them homes instead of shacks.
no way
yes
i wish
there are plenty of homes in good neighborhoods in Saint Louis for under 100k
Most of these homes need some work, but for the most part are in liveable/move-in condition. I just sold a 2bed, 1 bath home in a good area of the city for 95,000.
There are homes available in this price range in the suburbs as well. Most homes (not in forclosure) in that price range don't go over 2 bedrooms. Unless of course your looking in the ghetto.
