  • you really should stop! at three months you've already done too much damage.
  • Please stop sharing your stupidity. People don't want to hear this and Im sure you are aware of that. People have known since the 50's not to do things like this. Quit your nonsense, think about someone other than yourself and go to a doctor and get yourself prenatal vitamins and hydrate yourself. Dummy!
  • You may have already done some damage to the baby. You should do whatever you can to stop, to avoid any further harm to the baby. And HOPEFULLY none has already been done.
  • There's a much better chance that the baby will have to deal with major, ongoing problems that last throughout it's life rather than being mercifully rejected by your body. COngratulations - you've successfully spread your poison to the next generation with your unbelievably selfish ways. You're a real sweetheart.
  • Keep in mind, your baby is smoking marijuana and cigarettes along with you ... do you think that's being a good MOM??
  • http://www.cdphe.state.co.us/pp/womens/obsmoking/SmokingWhilePregnant.html Your fetus gets nutrition and sustenance directly from you. Your child does not need the multitude of chemicals and poisons contained in cigarettes and cigarette smoke, which include formaldehyde, cyanide and amonia. I realise quitting any habit is difficult, but if you can't do this for your unborn child, how do you expect to face a lifetime of sacrifice for him or her?
  • Find a little child and every time you want a cigarette or pot, make sure you blow the smoke in the child's face. That is what you are doing, in effect. I know it's hard, but facing the rest of your life, knowing that you are damaging a new life is harder. Stop. Period.
  • i'm predicting foster care
  • I was a heavy smoker before I fell pregnant with my first child. The moment I found out I was pregnant, I quit smoking. Cold turkey. Was it hard? Hell yes. Was it worth it, knowing that my unborn baby was getting the very BEST start to life that I could give her? Absolutely. The main issue here is that you're not only responsible for yourself now, you're responsible for the well being of another person. I know that quitting smoking can be one of the most difficult things to do, but you simply have to do it. A few weeks of cravings are nothing compared to a lifetime of illness for your child. Congratulations on your pregnancy. Remember, having children is a privilege, NOT a right. Be a good Mum.
  • your hurting your child. STOP!!! I dont care if its hard. think about what damage your causing that innocent child and how much HARDER it is going to be to raise a child with an illness. or disability. if that child is mentally challenged, you will be looking after it for the rest of your life not just the standard 19 years or so... be RESPONSIBLE!
  • You really need to stop smoking for the sake of both yourself and your baby's health. There are lots of other things to think about than just a miscarriage. Your baby could be born early and also have a low birth weight which may cause problems. Also studies have shown that babies born to women who use marijuana during pregnancy displays altered responses to visual stimulation, increased tremors and a high pitched cry which may indicate problems with the nervous system. I'm a midwife and have looked after women who smoke marijuana right throughout their pregnancy and have delivered such babies with increased tremors and who have a high pitched cry and believe me it isn't very nice to watch or hear, how would you feel if you saw your newborn baby like this knowing that you are the cause of it? Also during pre and early school years youngsters exposed to marijuana during pregnancy have been reported to have more behavioral problems and difficulties with sustained attention and memory than other children. Researches do not know if these effects disappear or persist as children grow. There is also a chance that other problems may come to light later since some parts of the brain continue to develop into adolescence.
  • i dont know the probability. if DCF finds out you used drugs during the pregnancy, you may not have a child to deal with at all.
  • there is a huge possibility that your baby will be born premature with under developed lungs. It would be better for your baby if you quit you can do it,i stopped the day i found out i was pregnant and today when i look at my healthy sons i know that it was all worth it
  • you should stop. not only are u killing urself ur killing ur baby. if u don't have a miscarriage, be prepared for the ongoing struggles with ur child because with ur baby developing, all those chemicals r going into the baby and u have a VERY likely chance of ur baby being born with a defect or retardation or both. who knows all the other things that could happen. not only would it be good for ur baby for u to stop, it would be good for u.
  • Don't let people make you feel like you're a horrible person because of this, you are not. I understand that it is hard to quit. While it is the best thing to do for your baby, my main concern would not be miscarriage, but low birth weight of the baby which can lead to other problems. Just do your best. Try to cut down little by little. Even if you can't quit completely, the less the better. Also remember that you won't be pregnant forever. I smoked when I was pregnant with my first child until I was about 6 months along and my baby was over 8 pounds. With my second child I quit around 4 months and she was over 8 pounds and with my third I didn't quit but cut down a lot and he was over 8 pounds and they were all perfectly healthy. I'm not saying it's okay, but it's a choice you have to make and a risk you have to decide if you're willing to take. I felt guilty smoking while pregnant, and am thankful everyday that they were all healthy, but it is hard to quit. Just keep trying.
  • either smoke or have a healthy child, your choice
