YouTube, belongs to Google, Google's main purpose in keeping YouTube is to not let a competitor steal its profits. Even though YouTube is losing massive money, Google knows that funding it, causes more damage to its competitors than it does to their own resources. They have done the same with Picasa & Google Earth. All Google have to do is wait out the competition. Yahoo/Microsoft & IBM are starting to fall slowly. So yes YouTube will survive :)
