  • Who says I MUST respect other's choices? If they cannot respect mine...
  • To Moongrim : Well, that raises you a level above them! But if all follow that "rule" so everything will be good =) And that is possible, here is an example: English became an international language(and there are many more examples that showing - all people can 'get used to it').
  • I don't believe that we *must* respect others choices. I *do* believe that it is in our best interests, as a species, to do so. I would also point out that respect goes both ways. If those who do not believe must respect the choices of those who do, then the favor needs to be returned in kind. If I ridicule someone for being an atheist, he or she has every right to ridicule me for being a theist.
  • I don't have to respect anyone or their beliefs. I do generally offer it freely as a courtesy, but it is highly conditional. If I find it to be unrequited it is replaced by indifference.
