It is supposedly a mis-firing of a synapse or some such that does what the first poster said, makes you feel that you have been in this moment by telling your brain that you have memories that are identical to this moment.

No, I am not a psychic, although it could mean that you have seen the same question that was already asked by someone else.

It just triggers a memory of a past experience that you recognize as being the same situation...even though it may have been different. Its just a coincidence.

I think personally that we live in many different dimensions with many different versions of us and when we experience de ja vu it isn't something that we did that we are experiencing its something that the other has done which we are glimpsing to.

It means an impression of having seen or experienced something before [French : déjà, already + vu, seen].At times we believe we have already seen or heard something before, it can well be as we answer many repeated questions which take us back to the past. . Regards.
