I think that Obama obeys the Constitution better than his predecessor, but I don't expect any uber-con to have enough of a grasp of reality or of history to acknowledge that. Look at what has happened to the First, Fourth, and Fifth amendments, as well as Miranda rights, the Geneva Convention, and our standing in the world due to the cowboy antics of W. Please do tell me how Obama has "ignored The Constitution"? Once you have perhaps we can do a little compare and contrast with his predecessor Shrub and the Veep who consistently ignored not just The Constitution but, existing precedent in multiple areas of both domestic and international law, requests for information from the Congress, existing treaties with foreign governments, the summons issued by the judicial committee, the rulings of the SCOTUS and well...pretty much the rule of law across the board.

even i violated the constitution on numerous occasions, although, frankly, i ignored the rulings of the us supreme court and my arch-nemesis, chief justice taney during the civil war. my hero, our first president, assembled a militia to enforce the nation's tax on whiskey that the western pennsylvania appalachian distillers didn't want to pay. polk really transformed the us presidency, starting a war with mexico to capture the rest of the western lands. ever since washington, every president has ignored the constitution to some degree, except maybe william harrison who died before he had a chance to violate the constitution. w deferred serious matters to the vp during the first 5 years but then saw that cheney could not be trusted with the immense power that he had granted him. in my opinion, the only constitutional violation that obama has committed is transferring gitmo detainees from cuba to someplace in the us - its still a violation of the constitution and geneva conventions. other than that, specifically what acts has he committed and to which sections of the constitution do you propose he has ignored? i'm open to your hypothesis, but, share with me some specific ideas.

People, I'm not sure that all the statist, socialist, totalitarian power grabs are attributable to the POTUS. I expect a thorough examination might show that the Congress, especially the House, and more specifically the Speaker, is the instigator of most of the excesses for which we blame the Ayatol ...er... the president.

The US Constitution is DEAD. This is no conspiracy theory anymore...As for Obama himself, i am not exactly sure what he has done specifically to continually shatter the Constitution, but he certainly has lied. For all you blind Obama worshipers, google the film "The Obama Deception" and see all the lies he has told. I would say President Woodrow Wilson ignored the Constitution to the degree Obama has by passing the Federal Reserve Act in 1913. That move alone was enough to destroy a great part of the American economy.

No, Obama has kept pretty much to the letter AND the spirit of the constitution - and that's a rare thing for recent presidents to do - Bush Jr. for example was notorious in his blatant disregard for the Constitution of this nation. I hoped this helped you.

Wait Obama? What did Obama do, I know George Bush violated the 4th Amendment with the Patriot act, and Violated 6, 7 and 8 with Guantanamo. But I haven't heard Obama do anything yet :P and just so you don't accuse me, I am not a democrat, and I didn't vote Obama, actually have never voted for either major party in my entire history of voting.
