  • The symbol is a fish, related to being "fishers of men", as Jesus said. It has nothing to do with the fact that the symbol for Pisces is a fish.
  • Actually, the origin of the zodiac may well have its roots in God's Plan as explained by God to Adam. Jesus was born at the dawn of the Age of Pisces, just as we now live at the dawn of the Age of Aquarius, some 2000 years later. The symbol of the Church is also Pisces for this reason. And of course, the Greek for 'Jesus Christ Son of God, Savior' becomes the acronym 'ICTHEUS' meaning 'fish'.
  • The Jesus-fish is nothing to do with the Zodiac. In Greek, the initial letters of the phrase "Jesus Christ, God's Son, Saviour" (Ἰησοῦς ΧριστÏŒς, Θεοῦ Υἱός, Σωτήρ) make the Greek word "ΙΧΘΥΣ" meaning "fish". The symbol of a fish, sometimes with the word inside, has therefore been used to represent Christianity.
