The latter. Palin was just one more iron in the fire.

I don't think Sarah Palin had anything to do with it (if anything, she helped him a little). The two main reasons he lost are: 1.) He's a republican, and it was a republican that caused the economic crisis in the first place 2.) Only the very rich, the very poor, and people who are employed for large corporations have health care. McCain stated in the Presidantial debates (I heard him say it with his own mouth) that he wanted to reform health care so that only the very rich and the very poor can have health care. Those are the two biggest reasons why he lost.

I had the feeling the Democrats were going to have an uphill battle. I felt McCain had a pretty good chance and, with the right VP stood an excellent potential for winning the election. Then he chose Palin. At that moment I began to hope Obama was going to win. As Palin unfolded her credentials, personality, thinking and attitude, I got more hope for Obama. It is my personal opinion that had McCain chosen a strong VP he would have done much better.

I believe the reason McCain lost was McCain. All of the populatrity was Palin. She had the opinions, she's the one that was answering to the point. toward the end of the campaign the majority of the media attacks were directed at her, that told me where the threat was.

McCain lost because the majority of Americans want a hand out and are uneducated on the issues.

No, I think there were other reasons. 1. All black people would have voted for Obama even if he was running against Jesus. 2. All gullible women would have voted for Obama because their leader, Oprah, told them to. 3. Sadly, he was viewed as too old by too many, which went heavily against him.

Sarah was Not the Main Reason... The VP is chosen to balance the ticket, to posses the characteristics the head of the ticket is lacking. With McCain that was a considerable challenge. She wasn't up to the job and came in with some weird baggage of her own.

If McCain had shown wisdom and chosen someone like Condoleeza Rice, I'd have given some serious thought to voting for him. But with Caribou Barbie- it was a slam dunk decision.
