They feel honor-bound to KILL those who reveal their private, sick rituals. They're just like the Freemasons. Yuck! +5

Are they not supposed to do that or something? I know mormons who have been married in the temple. But not any mormons who married other mormons. Funny, isn't it?

If there is something they are trying to hide.... Wow, why would you even wanna be part of it. scary scary stuff. The real God is in the light, for all the world to see...only Evil hides itself in the dark, so noone can see what it does.

In the Endowment, we make a covenant not to reveal parts of it. Anyone who describes this ceremony in detail is an oath breaker and not worthy of trust. As a matter if principle I don't say how accurate or inaccurate such tellings are.

Its public relations. Anything anybody wants to tell about the Mormons only helps them add new members. People who tell and do contrary things are called Jack Mormons.

Based the Mormon cries of indignation that have followed the posting of ExMormon recountings and re-enactments of the LdS Temple Rites here and on other discussion boards across the Wide Wide Web I think that the answer must be: "They feel angry, disrespected, and betrayed." However as ExMormons (and Mormon Studies Scholars like myself) have repeatedly pointed out. We are merely trying to educate the public on something that from our perspective shouldn't be secret. This is based on the fact that it seems clear from the historic record that Joseph Smith ONLY instituted Secret Temple Rites as a means of covering up his Polygamous activities in Nauvoo and intimidating them (via Blood Oaths and other manipulative means) into not disclosing what HE and other LdS Leaders were doing in secret. See this article for more details: Ever wonder what today's Mormon Church would be like if Joseph Smith had never practiced polygamy? http://www.concernedchristians.com/index.php?option=com_fireboard&Itemid=42&func=view&id=79200&catid=10
