  • The minimum for the original WoW when it was released was just 256MB, so you have enough RAM for it to run even with run 384. The minimum for WoW - Burning Crusade increased slightly: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/burningcrusade/faq.html - 1 GB for Vista users. Either way, 512MB RAM is barely enough to run Windows by itself - let alone any applications on top! A RAM upgrade will likely cost less than 1 month of the game, so I'd suggest installing as much RAM as your system can handle.
  • Yeah, you'll get much better performance running World of Warcraft with at least 1 GB of RAM, preferably 2 GB if your machine can accommodate that much memory. I used to have problems walking around the major cities until I upgraded both my RAM and video card in my old PC.
